Trying to be responsible this year, so I've come up with some manageable resolutions.
1. No snacking after 8pm.
Seems reasonable enough to me. Stay out of the kitchen. I eat dinner early, and typically, if I stay up past 9, I am getting hungry again. So I start trolling the kitchen and shoving anything I can find in my face. Sometimes I hit my mouth. This has to stop...
2. No fast food.
This one is pretty easy for me. Typically, the only fast food I eat because I'm in a rush and hungry is Taco Bell. I do not enjoy McD's or BK, so that is not difficult. Now, I will say that if I have been out and it's late night, I will go through a drive through. I also have caveats. Subway, is not fast food - I am defining fast food as restaurant where I do not have to get out of my car to order. Pizza, again, not necessarily fast food, although I'm not going to derail this whole resolution by ordering pizza every night.
3. No drinking during the week.
I have a lot of caveats to this one. My purpose here is to not sit at home every night of the week with wine. It's just not necessary. If I have a professional meeting where there is wine, suer, I'll have a glass. I just think I have some potential to cut back here.
4. Train for the races I sign up for.
Seems obvious to you, not to me. My way around this is to sign up for so many races that I'm always training. Genius! And super expensive.
I think that is it. If I come up with more, you will be the first to know.
