Success

The true test of the kitchen came over the holidays.  I made five different types of cookies, hosted Christmas Eve dinner (Seven Fishes style), cooked a turkey dinner for Christmas, made pies, simmered drinks, baked bread - you name it.  If there was ever a way to test every facet of the floors, counters, and appliances - leave it to me to do all the testing at one time in a public forum.

Let me tell you - it exceeded all of my expectations.  My family is Italian, no one ever leaves the kitchen.  You sit at the counters, lean next to the cook, taste the sauce as it stews.  I wanted to be able to have everyone in the kitchen area - while no one was in my way.  Hors d'oeuvres were out on the counters, drinks were on another counter, and one one was under my feet.  Perfect!

I should also note that the ceiling fan was fixed and the scaffolding was removed in time for the holidays as well.
